Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library/Musuem Program
Recent tech problems at the C-SPAN website have been resolved.
To view the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library/Musuem program, including details about the Vietnam Babylift archives, please visit:
Click on "Presidential Libraries" in the lower left corner of the home page and then onto President Ford's photo, when it appears.
A photo of President Ford greeting the first Babylift arrivals (the subject matter of Bernie Duff's painting, 'Welcome Home") may be viewed, along with other photos, when clicking on the "President Ford Library/Museum" screen. These photos change every minute or so, thus, it may take several moments for the Babylift photo to appear. This photo was used by Vietnam veteran Bernie Duff as subject matter for his painting, titled "Welcome Home", now archived at the Ford Museum.
The broadcast included artifacts from the Vietnam Babylift collection and the Library/Museum's Director, Dr. Elaine Didier, discussed our Babylift Tribute, presented at the Museum on May 22, 2007.
During my on-air phone call, I paid tribute to President Ford for his implementation of Babylift and mentioned the Babylift website:
Best regards,
