Vietnam Babylift Personal Stories
I was 19 years old at that time and heard on the radio that they needed volunteers to help care for the orphans that were coming to the Presidio from Vietnam. I can still remember the face of the very tiny baby girl who I cared for and how fragile she was. I often wonder how her life has turned out, although I have no way of ever finding out. It was an experience that affected my life and opened my eyes to the injustices in the world. As an adult, I went on to adopt seven foster children. Nothing I have experienced will ever have the impact on me that that day at the Presidio in 1975 did. I am so glad I found this website. Thank you
