Comments: My life is as happy as any typical American. Because of Operation Babylift, I have been given the opportunity to be whatever I choose and to strive as much as I want.

I was born Nguyen Thi Kim Chi on May 19th, 1974 in Linh Dong,Tu Duc in the Gia Dinh province. According to my paperwork, my birthmother's name is ***Name omitted for reasons of privacy.

Nothing is listed about my birthfather. I was brought to the Tu Duc Maternity Hospital six days after I was born, and was brought to the CRS Halfway House in the Gia Dinh province for adoption.

I was adopted by an American family from the Good Shepard Orphanage in Vinh Long and brought to the US in February 1975.

I'm sure Operation Babylift has changed my life in more ways than I can comprehend. Really, there's no way to know what life would've had in store had I not been adopted by my wonderful parents. All I can say is that I am forever grateful to them for making me a part of their family, for loving me, respecting me and supporting me.

I reside in Woodbury, Minnesota, United States.

I would be more than happy to have my story posted. Thanks and God Bless!

Kim
