Dear Lana,

I was born on March 21, 1975 and was,I believe, the youngest baby to leave on Operation Babylift in the beginning of April. My birth mother was turned away from hospitals in Phu-Cuong and was forced to give birth to me in a nearby tent with the assistance of Catholic nuns. She gave me up to have a better life and I thank her every day for it. Now, I am beginning the adoption journey myself and am hoping to travel to Vietnam for the first time to meet my past, present, and future.
