National Adoptive Awareness Month
This year several media blogs have posted messages from members of the International Adoptive community on their websites. Some are positive; some are not. Several reflect opinions about the work of those who helped children in harm's way via the Vietnaam "Operation Babylift' and those before and after Babylift as well.
There are pros and cons to international adoption and, as the mother of three international adopted children (two now grown, one deceased), I can only speak from my heart. Please keep in mind that adoptive families, like birth families, do the best they can for their children.
For National Adoption Awareness Month, November, 2007 . . . best wishes to all international adoptive families who love and care for their children.
