This is Hollee McGinnis, with the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute. I am hoping you will support this ground-breaking project on adoption and identity, "Beyond Culture Camp: Promoting Healthy Identity Formation in Adoption".
The project involves a national Internet survey of internationally adopted adults 18+ who have been raised in transracial families (and a comparison group of domestically adopted adults raised in same-race families) in order to learn - from those who know best - how to promote and sustain a positive identity that incorporates race, culture and adoption.
You may have received an earlier email so if you have already completed the online survey THANK YOU! If you have not taken the survey or have not yet completed the survey PLEASE DO SO TODAY! The online survey will be available only until January 31, 2007.
WE ARE SEEKING 300 PARTCIPANTS AND WE ARE ONLY HALF THERE! WE ESPECIALLY NEED MORE ASIAN ADOPTEES AND WE NEED MORE MEN TO PARTCIPATE!!

All of your answers will be anonymous and the information you share with us will be confidential.
I am very excited about this project - as an adult Korean adoptee - because it is one of the first times there will be real data on our collective experiences. It is my belief that while our individual experiences as adopted people are very powerful, it is our collective experiences - and those common themes we can learn from them - that we can truly begin to make informed and effective changes in the adoption field. THUS YOUR PARTICIPATION IS VITAL!
